Muziek: Black and Gold, Sam Sparro

Een van de beste nummers uit 2008 is voor mij zonder enige twijfel ‘Black and Gold’ van Sam Sparro. Ik ben over het algemeen van ‘doe je haar met een gitaar’, maar de pompende beat van het nummer plus de prettige stem van de zanger en het refrein pakte me echt. Vanochtend zocht ik het nummer op YouTube om lekker mee wakker te worden en om de clip weer eens te zien. Mannen in pak met een kek dansje, niets mis mee ;-)

Toen ik daarna naar de reacties onder het filmpje scrolde raakte ik ineens verzeild in een discussie over de betekenis van het nummer. Sommige mensen dachten namelijk dat het iets met God te maken had, terwijl anderen het op een liefdesliedje hielden. Ik heb de tekst even opgezocht, dus oordeel zelf zou ik zeggen.
